As the festive season approaches the Coniq Team continues its mission to drive our core values including passion, diversity & action to support the Shine Academy School in the Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya.
We kicked off the season of giving by selling a selection of festive treats & mulled wine (both alcoholic & non) in the office. We raised over £250 & all donations raised were sent to support the amazing work Impoverished Children Charity does to run the Shine Academy School and to support the kids & families of the Kibera Slum.

Kibera means “jungle” or “forest”. In reality, it is a massive slum in Nairobi housing 250,000 people & a shack will house approx. 8 people. Only 50% have electricity, and even less have access to fresh water or toilets.
Shine Academy offers free education to over 200 children & has struggled through ongoing challenges of violence & political riots, floods & cholera outbreaks to support the children & their families, offering education & a chance to build a better life.
